Contract Clause

The dispute settlement clause

Why should I use the dispute settlement clause?
The dispute settlement clause should be incorporated into all contracts or service level agreements and memorandum of understandings of a business. Where the clause is made part of the contract the parties are obliged to refer the matter to the African Commercial Dispute Settlement Centre (ACDSC) as soon as a dispute arises. This will ensure that your business can resolve its disputes in a quick and affordable manner, and thereby avoiding the court process which is expensive and time consuming.

How to use the dispute settlement clause.
The dispute settlement clause can be downloaded from this site. It is a word document that you can simply cut and paste into any contract or service level agreement of your business. This will ensure that all disputes arising from the contract will be resolved through the ACDSC process.
