The Human Capital Portfolio Committee

The human capital portfolio committee will continuously monitor, investigate and comment on Labour Law and legislative changes with particular reference to small business. In addition the Portfolio will address the issue of wage increases and promote the concept of business negotiation, increased productivity and performance in return for a normal wage increase. The issue of the functioning of the SETAs will be addressed in order to assist business with the training and development of staff and the widest promotion of the apprenticeship system and the associated role of the FET Colleges will be pursued.
